Your teacher has given you passages to read, "... that can be found in the passages". I would start by reading the passages then gather quotes which support the topic, "how the Dust Bowl affected individuals' lives.", and quotes which show the Dust Bowl's, "physical, personal, and emotional impacts...". Writing an essay in sequential order can be difficult so I suggest you gather information and maybe start writing down some sentences and forming those into paragraphs and eventually you'll get the flow going and can get the intro and conclusion.

Your thesis statement could be:

the dust bowl affected individuals by destroying livestock and property, killing family members, and lengthened the depression.

Look for points related to these topics in the passages and include them in the paragraph.

Ex. “ approximately 3 people died because of the dustbowl as stated in paragraph 3 of passage 1”

And of course include how these points affected them directly

Ex. “ these harsh deaths brought even more sorrow to a country that was already broken.”
