William Shakespeare was an English writer who made a significant contribution not only to the English literature but to the world literature and culture in general due to his plays; and he is considered the greatest writer in the English language.
Shakespeare got his inspiration from ancient empires and kingdoms, such as "Ancient Greek tragedies", the Roman Empire and the Kings of England; he also got inspired by some other authors such as Geoffrey Chaucer regarded as "The Father of English literature", Arthur Brooke, William Painter and Geraldi Cinthio.
