In partial fraction decomposition, if you have a square factored term in the denominator, for instance [tex]\frac{x+3}{(x+7)(x-5)^{2} }[/tex] why do you use two different terms when making the partial fractions with one for, in this instance, (x-5) and [tex](x-5)^{2}[/tex]
