a renewable resource is one that can be replenished in a short amount of time. An example would be geothermal energy.

Respuesta :

Renewable resources are energy sources that can easily be utilized time and time again because they can be replaced quickly.  Therefore, we can eliminate the third choice.

Now, you must distinguish whether nuclear energy, coal energy, wind energy, and geothermal energy are renewable or not.

Nuclear energy is not renewable because it requires many materials to obtain.

Wind energy is renewable because there is constantly wind, but coal energy is not renewable because coal takes millions of years to form.

Geothermal energy is renewable because there is constantly heat radiating from the Earth.

The answer is a renewable resource is one that can be replenished in a short amount of time.  An example would be geothermal energy.
