PLEASE HELP!!
Big Bee has a mass of 5 kg and hits a newly cleaned windshield accelerating at a rate of 2 m/s2.
Little Bee has a mass of 3 kg and is accelerating at a rate of 4 m/s2.

Which hits the windshield with a greater force? (Show your work below as proof.)

Answer: Little Bee hits the windshield with a greater force

According Newton's 2nd Law of Motion  the force [tex]F[/tex] is directly proportional to the mass [tex]m[/tex] and to the acceleration [tex]a[/tex] of a body:

[tex]F=m.a[/tex]    (1)

We already know the mass and the accelaration of both bees. So, we have to find the force which with each bee hits the windshield. As follows:

For Big Bee with a mass [tex]m_{B}[/tex] and acceleration [tex]a_{B}[/tex], the force [tex]F_{B}[/tex] is:

[tex]F_{B}=m_{B}.a_{B}[/tex]   (2)

[tex]F_{B}=(5kg)(2m/{s}^{2})[/tex]

Then:

[tex]F_{B}=10N[/tex]>>>Force for Big bee

For Little Bee with a mass [tex]m_{L}[/tex] and acceleration [tex]a_{L}[/tex], the force [tex]F_{L}[/tex] is:

[tex]F_{L}=m_{L}.a_{L}[/tex]    (3)

[tex]F_{B}=(3kg)(4m/{s}^{2})[/tex]

Then:

[tex]F_{B}=12N[/tex]>>>Force for Little bee

At this point we are able to clearly see that Little Bee hits the windshield with a greater force than Big bee.
