Value of X= 70
Angle measure of C is 72 degrees
Ok, so this is how I got it
Although this is geometry, you have to use some pre-algebra.
Every single triangles angle measures adds up to 180 degrees.
In order to find X, the equation is:
m of angle a + m of angle b + m of angle c= 180
Plug in your numbers
38 + X + X + 2 = 180
Add your like terms,
X + X= 2x and 38 + 2= 40
Now our eq looks like this: 2x + 40 = 180
This is where the pre algebra comes in
Subtract 40 from both sides because the opposite of adding 40 is subtracting 40
40 - 40= 0 and 180 - 40 = 140
Now our eq looks like: 2x = 140
Since 2 and X are being multiplied we do the opposite which is divide 2 and 140
140 divided by 2= 7-0
X = 70
Now you know the value of x, so just plug it in.
38 + 70 + 72 = 180??
If it equals 180 you are correct (it does )
I am so sorry it is long and if it is confusing I am sorry too, but it is kind of hard to explain thru typing, but I hope it helps in some way :)
