false, according to my reasearch sperm only survives a maximum of 5 days. while the ovum statement is correct... i don’t know if this is true or false, so i’ll give my best guess and say false. because if the sperm lives for 5 days... and the ovum lives for one day. there is only a 1/5 chance they’ll meet at the same time. not likely.

I would say it’s true, ovulation lasts for 12-48 hours but potentially fertile for up to seven days and and sperm can live up to five days in the female reproductive tract. But my main concern the question says 6, but it’s only a day off. I think the question wants to know if you understand the fact that sperm can live for quite awhile in a female. So I would double check with your teacher if the one day would make a huge difference.
