The reason that the Shang dynasty held on to its power was because the equal opportunity at the time.. Well there was only equal opportunity for the Rich and powerful. The reason the wanted to get rid of him was because the people didn't think he was of moral character, and they thought that he had multiple reasons to stay. The rulers at the time were not based of the people and what they wanted it was because of what the Family blood, and you were born.... Ex. North Korea trust me people want to overthrow him but they can't because its in his family blood
