Point-slope form:   y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

m is the slope, (x₁ , y₁) is your point

So your point-slope equation is:

m = -4          (x₁ , y₁) = (4 , -9)

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

y + 9 = -4(x - 4)

Answer: y + 9 = -4(x - 4)

(y-y1) = m(x-x1)

m is slope of a line (proportionality constant)

(x1, y1) is any point on a line

Hope this helps!!!
