The annexation of Hawaii to the United States of America occurred during the regime of President McKinley as he did not let Hawaii remain independent, but in the interest of the two parties, decided to annex

As a result of this, we can see that in the aftermath of the Spanish-American War, there was a need to annex Hawaii and in 1900, this  became possible and Dole was the first governor of Hawaii.
