Answer: I feel like music can be both. Some artist's music is meant to make a political statement, etc. But most songs are made for entertainment. When Bob Marley was at the peak of his career, a lot of his songs were about stopping war and chaos, and to come together as one. Sadly, his music didn't do much about world chaos, but he still left a great impact behind.
