The Confucianism and the Legalism has a basic difference. The Confucianists believed that the Harmony will prevail if people accept the role in society. The Confucianism was founded a wise philosopher government minister by the name of Kong Fuzi—later latinized as Confucius by sixteenth-century Jesuits. On the contrary, the Legalists believed that there should be strict law for crime. Even greater punishments for the smaller crime so that the bigger crime will be stopped by the fear of punishment. Because people are evil by the nature and they will afraid if only the punishment is harsh.
