Watson’s “Little Albert” experiment demonstrated which of the following pairs of classical conditioning processes?

A.
acquisition and discrimination
B.
discrimination and extinction
C.
extinction and generalization
D.
generalization and acquisition

Respuesta :

D.generalization and acquisition

John B. Watson stated that all individual differences in behavior are due to different experiences of learning.

His “Little Albert” experiment demonstrated the generalization and acquisition pair of classical conditioning processes. Correct answer: D

In his "Little Albert" experiment a small child (Little Albert) was conditioned to fear a white rat. At first the child initially showed no fear of a the rat, but after the rat was paired repeatedly with loud, scary sounds, the child cried when seeing the rat. Stimulus generalization was demonstrated  by also exhibiting fear in response to other fuzzy white objects( stuffed toys and Watson own hair).
