It was summer break. Kyle was excited to spend his vacation with his favorite cousin, John, at their grandparents’ house. But when he got there, Kyle learned that John couldn’t come because he had to attend a school camp. Though disappointed, Kyle reluctantly agreed to stay with his grandparents. Kyle didn’t know what to do as he wandered around his grandparents’ property. But one day, he heard the sound of laughter near the pond. As he got closer, he spotted a boy trying to fish. Kyle introduced himself to the boy, whose name was Simon, and asked him what he was doing. Simon replied that he was using his father’s old fishing gear to practice. Excited by the possibility of fishing for the first time, Kyle joined Simon. Soon Kyle and Simon began spending the days together, trying new activities and exploring unknown places.
