Respuesta :
The false factor in the development of cities in Mesopotamia was the need to concentrate the population away from arable lands near rivers. Compared to the more unified Greek or Egyptian civilizations, Mesopotamia was a group of various cultures whose only realties were their manuscripts, their gods, and their attitudes towards women.
EXPLANATION:
Mesopotamia must be understood more as an area that produced many kingdoms and civilizations than any single civilization. Nonetheless, Mesopotamia was acknowledged as the "cradle of civilization" mainly because of two expansions that took place there, in the Sumer region, in the 4th millennium BC:
• the revival of the city when it is recognized by that entity now.
• the discovery of writing (even though the writing is also recognized to have developed in Egypt, in China, in the Indus Valley, and had taken shape independently in Mesoamerica).
The discovery of the wheel is also attributed to Mesopotamia and, in 1922 AD. Other important discoveries or developments attributed to Mesopotamia include, but are not limited to, animal domestication, agriculture, general equipment, sophisticated artillery and rivalry, trains, wine, beer, differentiation of time into hours, minutes and seconds, religious rituals, the sail (sailboats), and irrigation. In fact, an orientalist, Samuel Noah Kramer, has registered 39 'first' in human civilization originating from Sumer.
Archaeological excavations beginning in the 1840s have discovered human communities dating from 10,000 BC in Mesopotamia which imply that the fertile conditions of the land between the two rivers enabled ancient hunter-gatherers to live on the ground, raise animals, and turn their focus to agriculture. Trade soon took place, and with success came urbanization and the birth of cities. It is generally assumed that writing was created because of trade, the need for long-distance communication, and to maintain more careful account records.
