I agree with the answer above and I’ll only add that the victim is not to exceed the amount taken from him or her. Secondly, if it was literal we’d all be walking around with broken arms, black eyes, and bruises everywhere. We are still to forgive our brothers and sisters but if him or her kills our cow, we shouldn’t take their house.
