(35 points) This is a legit question that I have for a device FOR my homework.

My Kindle Fire HD 8 will not turn on. The upper right will heat up every now and then and cool down, The screen is black, but I keep hearing the chime it makes when it powers on after being turned off. Any advice?

Sounds to me that it’s most likely locked up and you need a new one
