An unexpected consequence or result of mechanized farming practices was the decline in the value of crops. The mechanization increased crop yielding which result in the overproduction and decline in the value of crop. Mechanized farming practice can be defined as the agriculture or farming practice in which machines are used for agriculture activities.

The farmers opted mechanization agriculture practices to increase production capacity by replacing humans and animals such oxen, mules, and horses. Moreover, the other disadvantages of this practice were environmental pollution, deforestation and erosion.
