Well... to start off with,
DIFFERENCE: Ducks are fluffy and soft, alligators are not.
ALIKE: ducks bite and alligators bite.... Alligators swim and ducks swim as well.

Ducks and alligators share similar breathing system and are usually found in similar habitats because ducks build their nest over alligator infested waters in order to keep away predators from attacking their nest.
