Don't know if you're really serious or not but if so there is a variety of ways to help one overcome their addiction.
- Remind yourself of the health consequences- smoking is responsible for over 480,000 deaths per year directly and 41,000 are brought about by second hand effects. Over 13 types of cancer have become more prevalent for smokers over the years and that's not going to change anytime soon.
- As you stated there is also the financial burden that can come about with a reliance on tobacco, imagine all the other things you could spend your hard earned cash on, instead of carcinogen rolled tubes. This is just another unnecessary expense that can easily be demolished with enough willpower.
- Reaching out to others for support is also a tremendous idea, go to those who truly care about you and just think of alternative activities that are more productive and healthier
You don't have to go cold turkey either, patches and gum can help you slowly ween off cigarettes and help to reduce dreaded withdrawals.
To sum all this up think about your life and those around you. Can you truly say cigarettes provide undeniable benefits?
