Respuesta :

The migrations in northwestern Europe has led to mixture of cultures, be it in the past, or in more recent times, making a 'melting pot'  of cultures.

Explanation:

Northwestern Europe as a region is occupying the territories of the British Isles, Ireland, northern France, and Benelux. This region was dominated by the Celtic people in the past, but the Roman conquests brought in new culture, thus the people became Romanized. After that, the Germanic tribes became more powerful, so they conquered the region, bringing in their culture with them. This led to a mixture of the basic Celtic culture, with the Roman and Germanic cultures, thus the region became a ''melting pot'' of cultures.

In more recent times, there has been migration mostly from the places that were once colonies of the countries of this region. Lot of people from the Indian subcontinent, Africa, and the Caribbean region migrated in this part of Europe. This significantly diversified the populations, as lot of different cultures are co-existing in one area. This has had its advantages but also its disadvantages.

Hot spots from where most of the migrants in this region come are:

  • DR Congo (to Belgium)
  • Suriname (to Netherlands)
  • Norther and Western Africa (to France)
  • India and Pakistan (to the UK)
