Is this image of cells considered to be going through apoptosis or prophase? It kind of looked like the DNA was separated a bit to where it was forming into chromosomes, but wasn't sure since it kind of looked scattered like it was about to undergo apoptosis.
Also I thought that this is an image of 4 cells clumped together based on the 4 nucleolus that was in the clump. Is this considered to be one cell or 4?

It appears that the nuclear envelope is eroding away and that the chromatin is condensing into chromosomes to start mitosis.
