Two linear polarizing filters are placed one behind the other, so that their transmission directions are parallel to one another. A beam of unpolarized light of intensity ????0 is directed at the two filters. What fraction of the light will pass through both filters?
Because once ligh passes though any polarizer 50% of it is gone. The second polarizer is also oriented in the same direction so it passes through with no effect.
