This question is based on the following circle graph. The graph represents the results of a survey in which 400 people were asked to identify the TV
channel on which they preferred to watch the evening news.

WANR 22%
WCLM 24%
WWCN 44%
How many more people preferred WWCN than WANR?
A. 68
B. 76
C. 236
D. 164

-- 44% of the people surveyed preferred WWCN.

-- 22% of the people surveyed preferred WANR.

-- The difference is 22% of the people surveyed. 
That's how many MORE of the people surveyed
preferred WWCN than WANR.

-- 22% of the people surveyed is 22% of 400 people  =  88 people .

Strange as it may seem, "88" is not one of the choices.
Go figure !

And how come the breakdown of the answers to the survey
adds up to 103% ?  Did 12 of the surveyed people have
more than one favorite ? ?
