Carmen is using the quadratic equation (x + 15)(x) = 100 where x represents the width of a picture frame. Which statement about the solutions x = 5 and x = –20 is true?

The correct solution should be x = 5 for the reason that we are calculating for the width which is always a positive value. 

Mathematically, -20 is also correct for this satisfies the quadratic equation but here the most logical answer is 5.
