A farm producing x tons of rice at a cost represented by C = 3x +3. If the total revenue from rice production is given by R = 7x + 2, to not have prejudice, the farm must produce at least:

Profit = Revenue – Cost

To reach a point of breakeven, Profit = 0.

 

Therefore,

Revenue =  Cost

7x + 2 = 3x + 3

x = ¼

therefore the farm must produce at least ¼ tons of rice so that there will be no loss.
