Why does Sophocles alert the audience to the romantic relationship between Antigone and Creon’s son in scene 1 of the play Antigone?

This play has a tragic theme. In order to make the audience appreciate the tragedy at the end of the play, Sophocles shows the audience the romantic relationship so that they can see the eventual conflict of interest that happens towards the end of the play.
