Stroke is a term meaning a sudden blow. It is referred clinically as cerebrovascular accident or CVA. A CVA may be caused by a hemorrhage, bleeding into the tissue; a clot, called thrombus in the blood vessel; by a piece of clot called embolus; or vasospasm, constricting the cerebral blood vessels.
Signs and symptoms of Stroke:
-weakness in the limbs or muscle weakness
-loss of temperature and pain sensation and loss of sensation in either side of the face
-ataxia, nystagmus, dizziness and hoarseness
-neurological damages such as drowsiness, disorientation, inattentiveness, loss of consciousness and even seizures.
