Answer Part A:

A cellular division process that could be used by Trichoplax when it reproduces asexually would be mitosis.

Mitosis can be described as a process in which two daughter cells are produced which are identical to the parent cell. As trichoplax divides by asexual method of reproduction, hence it will divide by mitosis.

Answer Part B:

Benefit: This process occurs faster. Hence, the population will increase in a short time.

Limitation: No genetic variation will occur.
