1.) 12 years is not a long time, it will last but in what shape? Dependent on those who have taken initiative currently, we may view our Earth to be at constant odds. Among a society in which controversial issues are no longer conversed but rather, argued; where individuals often turn melancholy based on others political views and where the expertise of world renowned scientist on the basis of ignorance is often ignored, on both sides of the spectrum. The earth will last, human’s preserve but in a less than optimal condition. Modern society relies on a culture of Darwinism, where we are only good enough.
2.) We may unite to find ways we do not readily see as apparent. As opposed to black or white views, we must understand matters are often gray. We have seen little impact with funding at the rate of expected destruction. Education however, has always been the key to societal, earthly and cultural means. We should continue our current efforts but also continue to improve, instead of trying to just carpool- create ways for cars to rely on water; instead of destroying animal habitats for humans- build in the sky. In order to save the earth we must have empathy, understanding, creativity, the willingness to ultimately compromise and improve.
