First we must divide 9,240 by three( representing Jordan, and her two grandfathers):

9,240 ÷ 3 = 3,080

Now that we know the amount she must have in 8 year in order for her to have enlightened money after her grandfathers to match the amount, we now must divide that money by 8:

3,080 ÷ 8 = 385
