Which of the following best describes the first step in the formation of a hurricane?
A.
Cooler water produces air masses with high pressure, causing fast-moving thunderstorms.
B.
Air masses over the ocean become colder, causing water waves to move faster.
C.
Warm ocean water evaporates and then condenses, forming a low pressure area below.
D.
A high-pressure air mass remains undisturbed over land, resulting in excessive precipitation.

Respuesta :

Answer: C. Warm ocean water evaporates...

Explanation:

This might sound like I’m a know it al but, C reason being is I live in Florida.
Every time before a hurricane we always have warm water. Also, thunderstorms form under warm weather and cold weather mixed together creating a low pressure in that area. However, because thunderstorms don’t have warm ocean water evaporating into the clouds it doesn’t become a hurricane. Add a thunderstorm and warm ocean water you get a hurricane. At least that’s what my teacher told me.
