Maya stared in dismay at the table strewn with textbooks and notes, and sighed. “Well, what’s the verdict? Do you know what you want to do?”

“I think I know what I want, and I’m pretty sure I know what your preference is,” Rin said to Maya. She turned to look at me. “Bianca, what topic do you want to cover?”

I looked over at Nina, who just shrugged. “At this point, our group just needs to pick something or we’re never going to finish the project on time,” I pleaded.

The passage reflects the point of view of Bianca. It is a bit confusing, as many names are tossed around. But let's follow the dialogue. Maya speaks first, and she is not the narrator. Then, Rin speaks. Rin then asks Bianca of her opinion. Bianca looks to Nina, but Nina shrugs. She does not say anything. The "I" in this sentence is Bianca talking. Hope this helps.

This excerpt is narrated from a first person point of view. We know this because the narrator is involved in the story ("I looked over at Nina"). Moreover, out of all the girls who are mentioned, the one who is narrating the story is Bianca. We know this because after she is asked "Bianca, what topic do you want to cover?", she feels addressed. This makes her look over at Nina.
