Explanation:

It fought for the equal rights for women and women suffrage. It was founded in order to help women realize their importance in exercising their rights for the welfare of the society. Today it is the largest feminist organisation working for the sake of promoting the political, social and emotional interest of the women.

It still fights for various issues faced by women such as child care, abortion rights, pregnancy and maternity rights, pension rights. Many protest and demonstrations are  still taking place for the sake of women upliftment.
