I have conducted many interviews from which I am sharing few of those.

I am planning to describe interviews conducted in 3 different ways.

Explanation:

1. One-to-One interview: The interview will be conducted by one HR/Technical Lead with one interviewee.

Consider I am an HR and this is the introductory round. I would ask him introduce his profile and what he knows about the company and then let him to next round by informing about the position for which he has been taken and whom to meet.

2. Panel interview: Here where an interviewee will be interviewed by many persons, we can call a panel will be set up and panel members will post questions to select the right candidate.

Consider here I am a technical person where I am testing his logical understanding. My panel will shoot out logical questions to test the skill and here the interviewee is expected to have an eye contact with everyone and answer skillfully.

3. Many-to-Many: Many interviewer will conduct interview for many interviewee. So, this might happen when the hiring is bulk.

I may post same question to more than one answer and post a different to other set of persons.

Answer:

1.  I interviewed a person who works at a shipyard and welds for a living. I asked him what he was expecting to make as his salary per year. I asked him how long has he been welding and what experience does he have in welding.  I asked him how many jobs has he done and how long was he at his last job.  I asked him what made him want to work for the company he was working for. I asked him if he had done any extra certifications for operating heavy equipment.  I asked him what were some of his positive traits. I asked him what were some of the things he would like to work on or change about himself.  I asked him what would be his long term goal in where he saw himself in five years from now.

2.  I interviewed an X-ray technician.  I asked her what was her experience in doing this job and how long had she been at this job.  I asked her what kind of education she had received to apply for this position.  I asked her if she felt like she was treated respectfully and if she felt the workload was distributed fairly.  I asked her for something she considered positive about herself then I asked her if there were any things that she would change about her job if she could. I asked her if she had to work many holidays missing time with her family and to explain to me how that felt and worked.

3.  I interviewed a teacher.  I asked her how long it took her to get her education.  I asked her if she was happy at her place of work. I asked her if she taught in a public school, private school or alternative kind of school.  I asked her what salary did she expect to make per year in that profession and if she liked being off for all of the holidays.  I asked if she thought it was a good job to have if someone had kids and if it gave you more time with your own kids.  I asked her if it took a lot of her time at home to do her lesson plans and to grade her papers.  I asked her if she could do it all again if she would still chose being a teacher.
