Section 7 of the Alaska Constitution establishes cities
This comes under the local government. The local government takes care and has all the powers regarding the cities. They also have the power to dissolve the cities.
In section 7 of the Alaska constitution, cities shall be seen in the way prescribed by the law, and shall be a neighborhood of the town that they're located in . The cities shall have the powers and functions given by the law or the charter. They can be merged, consolidated,reclassified and classified according to the government’s choice.
