Rotavirus basically affects children and causes diarrhea. The symptoms range from fever, stomach pain, vomiting to body pain. Norovirus leads to gastroenteritis. Some viruses like the E coli and Salmonella also can cause stomach flu.
Stomach flu is contracted through polluted water or contaminated food. This cannot be treated by antibiotics.
Influenza virus basically attack the respiratory tract and the symptoms range from fever, cold cough and throat pain.
This virus can be prevented by taking flu shots every year. The strains of the influenza viruses can be many, so every year a flu shot has to be taken as per the strain which is found out to be prevalent in that year.
For both the diseases, prevention of the diseases are proper hygiene like washing hands, using pure water to drink and avoiding contaminated food and refrain from being around people who have the disease.
