Briefly describe the structure and functions of the four major types of biomolecules. You may either draw pictures with labels showing key parts, or describe them in words. Include in your discussion at least two specific examples of each biomolecule.

Respuesta :

Explanation:

Nucleic acid: Nucleic acids are the biopolymers, or small bio molecules, essential to all known forms of life. The term nucleic acid is the overall name for DNA and RNA. Example -  Guanine,

Cytosine,Thymine.

Proteins: Protein is a macro nutrient that is essential to building muscle mass. It is commonly found in animal products, though is also present in other sources, such as nuts and legumes.

Carbohydrate: One of the primary functions of carbohydrates is to provide your body with energy. Most of the carbohydrates in the foods you eat are digested and broken down into glucose before entering the bloodstream. example sugars, starches, and fibers.

Lipids:

They are set  of biological molecules comprising of oils , fats and also some types of steroids. They acts as building blocks of the cellular membranes. they are also  essential for storing energy, communication between the cell. Also these lipids acts as heat insulators. They long hydrocarbon chains which is why they are hydrophobic molecules i.e. they don’t dissolve in water.Butter and vegetable oil are its examples
