Gandhi has been remembered as one of the greatest freedom fighters in history. He has devoted his entire life to the fight for India's independence. He created enormous problems for the British authorities through his non-violent actions. Due to his aspirations for freedom, he was repeatedly arrested by the colonial powers. He eventually succeeded in his plans and India gained independence during World War II.

With its non-violent revolutionary aspirations, Gandhi has remained a unique figure in history. By civil disobedience, by calling for a boycott of taxes, hard physical labour, he sought to achieve India's independence. Even today, the term "Gandhi fight" is used for this type of combat, which alludes to the methods mentioned above. In this unique way, Gandhi sought to force the British to leave India to the people to which that country belonged.
