In other to be able to make make generalization from a sample, aside the avoidance of bias, a large sample size is usually very important. Hence, since the sample size is small, then making generalization about the study will in my be possible using the larger sample.

  • The sample size has a very effect on the validity of an experiment. According to the central limit theorem, sample mean edges closer to the value of the population mean as the sample size increases.

Therefore, making generalization about a population of City dwellers using only five samples won't give a result that can be generalized.
