We are engaged in a society where we enjoy the freedom to write what we want and about any subject or topic we enjoy. However, there is a great
responsibility that comes with that power to communicate. The word and sentences we choose can either help or hurt, create happiness or
sadness, and even more critically convey truth and facts or lies and omissions. As criminal justice professionals, we do not enjoy the freedom to use
creative and liberal information. As professionals we must communicate the facts and the facts only. In your response in this discussion forum, discuss
the importance of conveying factual, succinct, and academically supported research and data and how it differs in your personal world versus your
