(a) the scale of the map in the form 1 : n,
(b) the actual distance represented by 36.4 cm on the map, giving your answer in
kilometres,
(c) the area on the map in square centimeters, which represents an actual area of 8km.

5cm : 100000cm ( divide by 5 )
1 : 20000
(B) 1 : 20000
To find 36.4, times 36.4
36.4 : 728000
728000cm convert to 7.28km
(C) 1:20000 convert to km
= 0.2km ( then square coz it’s area )
= 0.04 km square
8km divide 0.04km = 0.32cm square
( last one of every question is answer )
