Answer

We have to reduce the expression

2[tex]sin^{4}x[/tex] into an expression with power not greater than 1

We will use two formulas

[tex]sin^{2}x[/tex] = [tex]\frac{1-cos2x}{2}[/tex]

[tex]cos^{2}x[/tex] = [tex]\frac{1+cos2x}{2}[/tex]

2 [tex]sin^{4}x[/tex] = 2 ([tex]sin^{2}x[/tex])^2 = 2( [tex]\frac{1-cos2x}{2}[/tex]) ^2 .... Continue on the paper attached.

The overall solution is attached herewith, as it contains lots of equation, I solved the problem on paper.
