If you had been in President Truman’s position, would you have approved the use of the atomic weapon against Japan? Why or why not?

Yes, I would have approved the use of atomic weapons had I been in President Truman’s shoes. I imagine having to resort to bombing is never an easy task, but I believe the president was only doing what he thought was best for his country; after all, that is his job. Though much damage was caused, many American lives that would have been lost in a land invasion were saved.

Firstly, the main reason for bombing Japan was because Japan was at verge of entering into U.S. during the WWII and this led to the atomic bomb which was denoted to bring a speedy end to spare American lives.

In conclusion, i would do the same as President Truman’s by approving the use of the atomic weapon against Japan to preserve the citizen right
