You can bring artwork from Photoshop (PSD) files into Illustrator using the Open command, the Place command, the Paste command, and the drag-and-drop feature. Illustrator supports most Photoshop data, including layer comps, layers, editable text, and paths

Make a single image and flatten the layers. Make objects out of layers and do not add visible layers. The choices import Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

Photoshop:

  • An Open command, Place command, Paste command, and drag-and-drop capability can all be used to import artwork from Photoshop (PSD) files into Illustrator.
  • Layer comps, layering, customizable text, and paths are all supported by Illustrator.
  • When a visual item was developed in Photoshop and would be reused in an Illustrator design, all Photoshop layers could be imported as Illustrator sublayers as well as other techniques added to it.
