Among many of it's defects ethnocentrism can promote racism, xenophobia, political, social and economic voilence against those people which they believe are superior over. Most times what is considered in ethnocentrism is language, religion, custom among many others. Joe in this picture views his way as Easter celebration as the best in relative to what others hold, not considering the fact that people have different views and can never celebrate the same way, this superiority in thought of Easter practice over other people view is ethnocentrism.
