Steve K. D. Eichel (formerly Steve Dubrow-Eichel) is a psychologist who is primarily known for his work on coercive persuasion, destructive cults, brainwashing, mind control, and deprogramming. He was a past President of the Greater Philadelphia Society of Clinical Hypnosis and also the national membership academy which comprised of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) Board-certified counseling psychologists as well as the 2006-07 President of the American Academy of Counseling Psychology.

He has worked to expose and unravel fraudulent practices of credentialing organizations, by acquiring several certifications for his pet cat, Zoe, including the American Board of Hypnotherapy, the National Guild of Hypnotists, and the Association of International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy.
