Moro reflex  is an infantile reflex. It develops between 7 to 8 months  of gestation. It disappears between when child become 3-6 months old.

It is a survival instinct that alerts the infants to its loss of balance and prevent them from losing grip of their mother.

There are three components  of moro reflex;  adduction ( spreading the arms), adduction ( pulling the arms in) and crying.
