Once there lived a very intelligent bat. The bat had let down his guard, however, and had been captured by a snake. The snake was just about to have the bat for dinner when the bat, knowing that snakes do not like the taste of birds, said, "Even though I may look like a bat, I'm not. I'm really a bird!" The snake released the bat and went in search of other food.
The bat was so happy to be free, he forgot to be on his guard. He was immediately captured by a large, orange cat. The cat said, "Yum. I've been looking for a bird to munch on for a very long time."
The bat, knowing well that cats enjoy snacking on birds but do not like to eat bats, found a way to save himself once again.
What argument did the bat most likely make to the cat?
A.
Aren't you embarrassed for picking on an animal one-tenth your size?
B.
You don't want to eat me, I’m just a tiny thing that won’t fill you up.
C.
Look! I'm not a bird. I have fur instead of feathers and no beak.
D.
If you let me go, I'll take you to a whole flock of birds.
