Well if he is 17 and she is 2 and old then she would be 34. Now add 6 years to 17 and that is 23 so now just multiply 23×2= 46, so when he is 23 she will be 46 year's old.

Sister = 2*17 = 34 years.

When the boy is 23, that is 17 + 6 = 23, in 6 years time.

The sister will be: 34 + 6 = 40 years old.
